People who holding this opinion consider that necktie originated from Germany. Ancient Germanic people lived in the forest, having the animal fur on their bodies to warm. For fasten the fur, they had rope around their necks to tie the fur. Later, the first rope improved gradually and became the necktie at last.
2. Formulation of function
People who holding this opinion believe that appearance of nectie is due to the demand in life. Because the tie has the function to satisfy the demand. Before the Industrial Revolution, England was a backward country, men ate meat with hands, and cleaned mouth with sleeve. For handling this situation, women hung a piece of cloth under men’s collar to clean their mouths. Later, the piece of cloth became the traditional attached of the man’s coat. After the Industrial Revolution, England became a developed country, and the cloth under the collar also formally became to the necktie.
